Right Wing Extremism: A Lie of the Left |
|
|
|
Just to show you how stupid accusations and name calling of conservatives by the left can be, let me show you an example. Suppose you have conservative Christian beliefs. For the most part they are the same ones you have always had although they may have changed slightly over the years. To your left are the so called moderates. To their left are the "Left". You know, those also known as Liberals. Over the years, the Liberals have moved further to the left. You haven't gone to the left or to the right. However, from the perspective of the leftist liberals you are now, more to the "right" than before. This is not because you have changed; they have. They now call you extreme right wing. Do you now see how it works? You haven't changed your beliefs or postiions. The liberals have moved further to the left and now accuse you of being "extreme". Talk about arrogance. But that is how unsaved liberals operate. Am I being unkind? I don't think so. Try this one on for size. It's right out of the Bible:
But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them. -2 Timothy 3:1-5.
Notice the word "slanderous"?
So what do you do? You stand for your beliefs. You stand your ground. You react kindly to those who disagree with you, but you don't compromise your beliefs one iota. At the same time we are to seek to help and teach those who are caught up in worldly and Satanic lies. James 5: 20 says:
...remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save him from death and cover over a multitude of sins.
It is a fine balancing act we are sometimes called upon to perform. Jude 3 tells us "to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints." At the same time we are to do this without being "contentious".
For those who need a picture, here is one I drew up for you:
